ESSAY TITLE : 교통법규를 지킵시다


Student's Writing
If we save our laws and rules, the world will be better.
For exemple, excident will not happen if we save the laws.
We must not cross the street if it is red light.
We have to wait.
Then, we will be safe.


Teacher's Comment
This world will be better if we keep the laws and rules.
- save는 "저축하다, 저장하다"의 의미로, 법과 규칙을 "지키다"라는 뜻에는 적절 X / 대신 keep을 사용
- the world라고 하면 "지구 전체"의 의미가 강하므로, "이 세상"이라는 의미를 살리려면 this world가 더 적절

For example, if we all keep traffic laws, there will be no traffic accidents.
- exemple → example (철자 오류)
- excident → accident (철자 오류)
- "교통 법규"라는 의미를 명확히 하기 위해선 traffic laws
- "사고가 발생하지 않을 것이다"를 좀 더 자연스럽게 표현하기 위해 there will be no traffic accidents로 수정

We should not cross the street when the red light is on.
- if는 "만약 ~라면"이라는 가정의 의미이므로, 신호등이 켜진 상황을 표현하려면 when이 더 적절
- red light는 특정한 교통 신호를 뜻하므로 the를 붙이고, "켜져 있다"라는 의미를 살려 is on을 추가하기
- must not은 "절대 금지"의 의미로 강한 금지 사항에 사용되므로, "신호를 지키는 것이 바람직하다"라는 의미에서는 should not이 더 자연스러움

We must wait.
Then we'll be safe.
